HCL Nomad Web w/o HCL SafeLinx

Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 5:02 AM UTC
It's been 3 weeks since I tried Daniel Nashed's implementation to the community container project to install SafeLinx in a container - including Nomad Web. That was pretty easy once you managed the certificate part. Now with the latest drop 3 of Domino 12.0.2 HCL also released the first beta of Nomad which runs as a Domino add-on - without SafeLinx at all. Installation couldn't b [...]

HCL Nomad Web - in a container

Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 6:27 PM UTC
Daniel Nashed did it again: he simplified a process to get faster results. This time: getting started with HCL Nomad Web and SafeLinx. HCL Nomad Web needs SafeLinx as Proxy and additional files which are the WAS part of the product which will run in your browser. Installing and especially configuring a SafeLinx server may be cumbersome and at least I failed several times. With SafeLinx now [...]

Finally going ARM

Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 9:19 PM UTC

There were many reviews about this processors and the machines Apple created on top of it - and I can only chime in that this is a game changer. It's so fast and power efficient. Sorry, Intel - you are dead, at [...]

HCL Updates from Engage

Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 8:07 PM UTC
Though not physically present, I captured some news from Engage which takes places these days, thanks to my fellow peeps who post infos on Twitter. My personal highlights from the OGS and other sessions during the day are: Rivers Domino product codes now follow geographical naming standards like Apple does for decades, so future versions of Domino are named after famous rivers. Danube, Th [...]

Same, same - but different

Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 8:00 AM UTC
April 1, 2015 marked my beginning at We4IT, April 1, 2022 the end. Or better: a change - after 7 years.  We4IT started two subsidiaries based on the former teams for development and managed services. It's not about a particular product or platform but of what we are really doing. I am part of the managed services team for about a year now, so we now built Nintera from it. Our focus is [...]
